The clinical laboratory of the Center of diagnostics is a unit of the Public institution Centro Poliklinika, which renders the following services:
For the patients of the polyclinic
does the analysis – for the bodies corporate according to the concluded agreements and individually addressing persons.
The modern analyzers are installed in the up-to-date laboratory; the implemented information technologies are practiced in the laboratory; comfortable working environment, meeting the requirements, is created.
Combination of the digital automatic analyzers and of the information system is used, seeking increase of the laboratory’s work efficiency. It’s the tool, which manages and controls the laboratory’s work and which accumulates the data of the done analyses for the archive. The modern and fit equipment allows to reduce the time of the analysis doing, to assure the analysis precision and to make the doctor’s job easier.
The laboratory aims at rendering the qualitative service (precision of the analysis).
The laboratory arranges its activity, being oriented towards the consumers and satisfaction of their demands. The following analyses are done according to the unified methods, which are legalized in the institution: general clinical, bio-chemical, hematological, immunological studies and the studies with the help of the infectious diseases’ tags.
The purposes of the laboratory’s activity:
Division of the activity process into stages and their consolidation (management of the laboratory analyses, preparation of the patient for analysis, taking of the specimen for analysis, transportation of the specimen, identification of the person, preparation of the specimen for analysis, course of analysis, quality control management, registration, archiving of the results of analysis, submission of the results of analysis, maintenance of the equipment, filling of the documents in, etc.).
The overall quality principle. The demand for quality appeared in the laboratory, seeking to increase efficiency of the laboratory’s work, to raise confidence in its results as well as to secure the timely and correct diagnostics. Each procedure should be done qualitatively and once; only then the final service will be qualitative.
Arrangement of the working place. The working places should be convenient: clean, sufficiently lighted, within the allowed noise limits and not restricting the employer’s movements (should meet the requirements of labor safety and of the hygiene standards).
Maintenance and improvement of the existing equipment and of the employees’ qualification. The laboratory’s new equipment created the presumption for improvement of the quality of the done analyses; it’s proved by the internal and external quality control results.
Availability of several kinds of the equipment, meant for the same assignment, and of the service providers’ groups helps to avoid derangement of the course of performing of the laboratory analysis. If the equipment goes out of order or the other derangements occur, the analysis can be urgently done in the other laboratory unit as the equipment and working tools have been uniformed.
Constant improvement. The qualification improvement plans are issued annually prior to the 10-th of December; requests regarding the qualification improvement courses are submitted prior to the 15-th of September. The employees are trained after implementation of the new equipment; the new investigation methods are assimilated.
The clinical laboratory of the Center of diagnostics of the Public institution Centro Poliklinika meets the requirements of certification of the personal health care institutions’ laboratories and has Certificate ? 47, issued on 21 November, 2006 by the State-managed service, accredited for the health care activity by the Ministry of Health.
The quality system operates in the clinical laboratory.
The modern and reliable equipment is installed (the years 2005- 2006).
The information conveyance system is implemented (electronic referral of the patient for the medical analysis, identification of the specimen with the bar-code, link with the analyzer, submission of the results to the doctor).
The blood (from the vein and from the finger) is taken quickly and professionally for analysis in all the laboratory units.
The urgent analysis is done within 15-60 minutes (depending upon the methods of performance of the analysis).
It assures security and confidentiality of the patient’s personal data and of the information about the results of the performed analyses.
