The polyclinic renders payable personal health care services to be paid by the recipients (bodies corporate and natural persons).
The Minister of Health of the Republic of Lithuania approves the list of payable personal health care services by issuing the order.
The compulsory medical aid services, the list of which is approved by the order, issued by the Minister of Health of the Republic of Lithuania, are rendered to the constant residents of the country free of charge and are not attributed to the payable services.
The payable services, which are rendered to the constant residents of the country, are paid either by the patients themselves or by the other natural persons or by the bodies corporate, paying for them, or by the voluntary insurance institutions, if the patients are not insured with the compulsory health insurance, when the patients themselves, having no referral, issued by the primary personal health care doctor or by the specialist, address the medical institution about rendering of the service (the doctors’ advice, treatment, examination, etc.) or are sent by the doctors of the private institutions, who are ruled by the preliminary concluded agreements.
Besides, the payable service is rendered, if the health care institution has already spent the funds limit, fixed in the agreement with the territorial patients’ cash fund, and the administration of the institution announces that the institution cannot temporarily render certain services of the planned treatment, whereas the patient, insured with the compulsory health insurance, wishes to get the service urgently.
The services, selected by the patient, however, not related with treatment of the main disease, but attributed to the other accompanying disease, which can be rendered with the permission of the doctor in charge, who treats the patient at that time, are also attributed to the payable services.
